Phuket > Phi-Phi Speedboat Tour | Itinerary & Description

Many past guests declare our sightseeing and snorkeling trip to Phi-Phi as one of the highlights of their holiday.

Trips are led by tour leader-Sean who is a qualified marine biologist, ecologist and scuba instructor so is a great person to explore the islands and reefs with. (On the very rare occasions when Sean isn’t available, Captain Mark is more than happy to step in for an equally adventurous day out).

Trip itinerary is somewhat flexible to fit with tides and weather conditions, but typically you’ll be picked up from your hotel at around 08:00.

We drive to ‘Boat Lagoon’; Phuket’s closest departure point to Phi-Phi where we board the speedboat.

The speedboat used for the Phi-Phi trip is the newest in the Phuket Sail Tours fleet. A modern v-shaped hull allows the speedboat to cut efficiently through any waves, ideal for the crossing to Phi Phi. The same boat design is used across top 5 star resorts on Phuket. Although licensed to carry 25 persons, we limit Phi-Phi trips to a maximum of 20 people to make sure everyone enjoys a comfortable and enjoyable trip. The speedboat is fully equipped with all modern safety and navigational equipment, and has onboard shower and bathroom.

Points of interest we enjoy visiting during the trip include the following:

Monkey Beach: Picture-perfect scenery, where a powder-white sand beach meets sheer limestone cliffs, inhabited by monkeys.

Maya Bay: Setting for the famous movie ‘The Beach’, Maya Bay offers spectacular vistas so you’ll certainly want to remember your camera.

Koh Yoong: Getting away from the crowds, Koh Yoong is a largely unvisited spot which is fantastic for snorkeling with it’s amazing coral reefs and masses of colorful aquatic life.

Pileh Lagoon: This stunning lagoon is also a great spot for taking a refreshing dip, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and crystal clear water.

Koh Naka: Usually our last stop en-route back to Phuket, at Naka Island we land on a pristine white sand beach where we can relax and explore.

During our exploration of the Phi-Phi area we’ll stop for lunch at a traditional Thai restaurant on Koh Phi-Phi-Don. Lunch will consist a feast of Thai curries, stir fried vegetables, fresh local sea-food and a desert of delicious fresh fruits.

Finally we’ll ride the speedboat back to Phuket, where you’ll be dropped back at your hotel, usually by 18:00.

Please note – Phuket Sail Tours do not recommend joining our speedboat trips if pregnant.
