Southern Thailand Safari Itinerary & Description

Explore the jungle in a unique, exciting way with our Overland Truck Safari!

Our trip encompasses much of what is so outstanding about the area; from visits to sparkling waterfalls, canoe trips down gently winding rainforest rivers and enjoying relaxing evenings in the heart of the jungle, whilst the canopy of stars hang brightly overhead.

Our first day includes a boat trip through the mysterious mangrove forests and a chance to relax on a deserted, pristine beach, before settling into your accommodation for the night; your very own luxury safari tent, complete with hot water, western toilet and wonderfully comfortable beds; not to mention the jungle bar nearby where you can enjoy a cocktail or two! The standard of luxury of the tents is replicated with each overnight stay, ensuring you will always enjoy a restful, comfortable night’s sleep.

The second day sees us taking in the sights at Sri Phang Nga National Park, home to one of the most stunning waterfalls in the region, before visiting the ancient Old Takua Pa Town; a location full of history and stories to tell.

We then set a more leisurely pace by reclining aboard inflatable canoes and travelling down the gently flowing Sok River; taking in the limestone cliffs and verdant undergrowth that surrounds us as we traverse a path further and further from the modern world and into the heart and soul of the jungle. Our day is completed with a visit to the elephant camp, to experience life as a mahout (‘elephant keeper’) and to get up close and personal with these mild mannered creatures.

Day Four takes us to Cheow Larn Lake, to explore the region and to relax on the emerald waters, and our final day of the adventure involves a real highlight; a hike through the jungle; led by our experienced guide, who will keep you informed throughout the expedition.

For an extensive taste of Thai rainforest; this is definitely the trip for you.

Please ensure that you bring appropriate clothing and swimwear.
