Tour Itinerary & Description
Rural areas of Chumphon province offer some of the most unspoilt and spectacular coastal scenery in all of Thailand. Best of all this area remains off the mainstream tourist radar so this kayaking tour offers an opportunity to enjoy nature away from the crowds.
Starting with a pickup from your hotel at ~08:30am, from Chumphon we take a 30-40 minute minibus ride to an idyllic, remote beach called Tham Tong Bay. Following a trip briefing (covering some kayaking basics and an outline of what we’ll be seeing) we’ll take to the kayaks for a half day exploration of the surrounding area.
We’ll explore a tropical lagoon, canyon, a feature we refer to as ‘the cellar’, and navigate our way up a river through mangrove forest.
You’ll get to observe local flora and fauna of the Chumphon wilderness and see traditional Thai fishing settlements whilst gently paddling your kayak past striking scenery.
When we return back to the beach we’ll relax and enjoy lunch (and can take a swim if you want).
Then finally we’ll ride the minibus back to Chumphon Town where you’ll be dropped at your hotel by about 13:00.
