BKK Longtail Boat Canal Tour: Description
What better way can there be to spend the morning, reclining on board a traditional Thai longtail boat, whilst taking in the sights?
Experience a whole new side to Bangkok, away from the noise and bustle of the inner city, as we traverse a route along the ancient canals, and enjoy a taste of something completely different!
The ancient canals, known among the city’s residents as ‘Klongs’, wind their way in and out of the city, and throughout history, were used for transportation and trade. As we travel along them, in Thai long tail boats, we can really get a feel for how the ancient city dwellers must have felt, as they glided serenely along the canals.
We experience life in all forms on our journey, from humble wooden huts (often complete with children running along the river banks and waving!) to opulent villas. We also have the chance to see some of Bangkok’s many temples, and we will make a stop at one of the most famous, the beautiful Wat Arun ‘Temple of Dawn’. An impressive, 66 meter high temple, it gets its name from being particularly stunning as the sun rises, and visitors are often entranced by it.
Capture a glimpse of a life not often seen by visitors, and join us for our unique Bangkok Canal Trip; it is not an experience you will forget in a hurry.
