BKK Grand Palace & Canal Boat Tour: Description

If you long to see the best sights in Bangkok, but are stuck for where to start, then look no further!

Our exhilarating, action-packed tour of the city promises to show you the most magnificent aspects of Bangkok, whilst having a lot of fun along the way.

We begin by visiting two of the most celebrated temples in the city; Wat Po and Wat Tramit. Both are beautiful constructions in their own right, but both are famous for what lies within them, rather than the buildings themselves. Wat Tramit houses the Golden Buddha, an enormous statue made of real gold, and Wat Po is home to the 46 meter long Reclining Buddha, which has to be seen to be believed.

Our adventure then takes us to the Royal Grand Palace, believed by many to be the finest attraction in Bangkok. The extensive palace complex is the perfect place to explore, and our knowledgeable tour guide will keep you informed on the fascinating history that surrounds the place.

After enjoying the rich history of the city, we take a change of pace, and rest for a while, on board our very own Thai long tail boat. We sail down the canals (or ‘Klongs’ as they are known locally), taking in the diverse life that resides along the river banks, from tumbledown wooden huts to wealthy villas. This is an insight into the ‘real’ Bangkok that often, tourists don’t get the chance to appreciate.

After a morning of fast-paced exploration, we finish our trip with an enjoyable Thai lunch, and a much needed chance to reflect upon our action packed morning!
