Food Tasting Tour Description
Is there any better way to spend a day than enjoying some simply breath-taking culture and some mouth-watering cuisine?
Bangkok Food Tours full day exploration of ancient Ayutthaya combines some of the best cultural sights of Thailand with a number of visits to some fantastic eateries to give you an experience of a lifetime.
After picking you up from your Bangkok hotel, we will take you directly to Ayutthaya, where, after a brief introduction at the local museum, we will explore the network of ancient crumbling temples and ruins that make up this fascinating region, which was once capital of Siam (old Thailand) and reigned supreme for over 400 years.
We also take a relaxing boat ride along the Chao Phraya River, observing the locals and the mesmerising scenery before arriving at Wat Chai Wattanaram, one of Ayutthaya’s most remarkable and well preserved temples.
Throughout our tour, we will stop at various locations to sample some of the excellent local dishes, including Roti Sai Mai (roti with fairy-floss) and our celebrated Thai noodles. We will also be visiting a traditional Thai-house style restaurant by the river, and enjoying freshly grilled monster river prawn, dipped in an aromatic spicy sauce, in the Bang Sai district. For real culinary enthusiasts, there is also the chance to sneak behind the scenes to watch the masters at work, and to pick up a few tips to try back home!
This full day’s trip promises to not only return you to your hotel with fabulous memories, but also with delightfully full bellies and a whole new appreciation of Thai food.
